1. Shelves and Bookcases

Before adding your pumpkins, signs, books, or other seasonal favorites, remove what’s already there and give the shelves a good dusting. Don’t forget the edges, corners, and the tops of any items that are staying in place.

A few minutes of dusting now means your fall decorations won’t immediately become dust collectors themselves.

2. Your Mantel

If you have a fireplace mantel, there’s a good chance it’s about to become the star of your fall decorating.
